The Lions’ belief that they could pull off an upset were extinguished by their superior visitors.
Singapore’s hopes of qualifying for the 2015 AFC Asian Cup are in jeopardy after they fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Oman on Wednesday night.
The Lions remain bottom of Group A following the loss at the Jalan Besar Stadium, as Bernd Stange’s first competitive game as head coach didn’t follow the right script.

Qasim Said put the Red Warriors in front after 14 minutes and it was an advantage they wouldn’t surrender as Eid Mohammed scored a crucial second just before the break to sink the hosts.
